Based on the results of a research report at IRC:
Coronavirus Outbreak in Iran Caused Travel Insurance Sales Go Down To Zero
The cancellation of events, the closures, travel restrictions and the fear of traveling during the outbreak of the coronavirus have severely reduced the income of the travel industry.

According to PRIAO, the research report with the title of "The Effects of Coronavirus Pandemic on Travel Insurance" while expressing the risks covered by travel insurance, examines the changes that the outbreak of coronavirus has made on travel insurance from different perspectives.

Given the role of insurance in the tourism industry, the consequences of coronavirus pandemic on the industry, changes in travel and flight cancellations will have a direct impact on travel insurance.

According to the findings of the report, it can be mentioned that the most important influence channels of coronavirus on travel health insurance are changes in the sales and indemnification market, change in the demand for travel insurance coverages, change from registration of insurance sales to registration of traveling date transfer requests, providing new insurance policies with different coverage and more restrictions, the extension of travel insurance and changes in travel insurance distribution channels.
