The purpose of the study is to examine the pioneering countries in developing life settlement markets and to provide practical solutions for making life policies cashable in order to attain the ultimate goal of increasing the life insurance penetration rate in Iran.  

Furthermore, the study will attempt to explore subjects such as the characteristics of the secondary market participants, conceptual framework of such markets, the procedures and processes involved in life settlements, the jurisprudence and legal issues and challenges, supervisory aspects, technical considerations and pricing methods in countries such markets are developed and expanded.
