IRC Professional Panel on Planning and Establishment of ILS Supply System in Iran

The first meeting of the professional panel on planning and establishment of insurance-linked securities (ILS) in Iran was conducted at IRC.
Dr. Safari, the Head of IRC, who had participated in this opening meeting, stated that "The aim of this professional panel is to investigate the methods of transforming insurance risks to securities, to explore ILS` various components and their economic justifications, and to identify the necessities and required infrastructure for their development in Iran." According to a report by PRAIO.
"In line with these panels, at the meantime, supportive studies are being conducted. These panels will continue their job until the results are met and ILS is found its way into the Iranian market." He added.
The same report reads that the ILS professional panel executive plan will be as follows:
Supportive initial empirical and scientific studies, continuous academic discussion along with the supportive projects, developing and formulating ILS system, professional discussions on the implementation of the projects, conducting meetings whereby academicians, stock market experts, companies` CEO`s, and the rep of the Central Insurance of I.R. Iran participate.
Experts such as Dr. Seyed Abbas Moosavian, Professor at Imam Sadeq (S.A.) University, Dr. Nisi, Professor at Allameh Tabataba'i University, Mr. Sameri, consultant at the Iranian Insurers Syndicate and some other scholars took part in the first meeting of the professional panel on planning and establishment of ILS.
