The book entitled "Engineering Insurances", chosen as the Top Insurance Book in 2009 in 16th NCOID, is prepared based on new methods of teaching and learning engineering insurances and in a nutshell, discusses all the regular covers in the engineering line.

The fourth edition of "Engineering Insurances" is compiled and summarized by Hadi Dastbaz and Kasra Dastbaz, according to Public Relations Office, IRC. The book is compiled using resources such as Munich Re, Swiss re, and other Persian and English databases. The aim of compiling from these resources (complying with the resource rights), is introducing and promoting an intangible insurance line for agents, brokers, employers, contractors, and other involved parties in engineering projects in order to foster the development of engineering insurances in Iran's insurance market.

The present book comprises of 12 chapters including: "Principles and Methods of Risk Management", "Contractors' All Risk Insurance", "Erection All Risk Insurance", "Comprehensive Project Coverage", "Machinery Breakdown Insurance", "Electronic Equipment Insurance", "Delay in Implementation and Launching of Project Including Advanced Loss of Profit Coverage", "Possible Event Insurance including Majeure Force Risks and Losses from Financial Burdens", and "Engineering Structures Insurance".

The positive reception of the first edition of the book made the author revise the book, add a new chapter, and extensively explain some of the relevant insurance projects in order for the reader to not only take advantage of the general concepts presented but to attend the specialized discussions, as well. This further paved the way for the reader to get acquainted with the underwriting procedures in the developed countries.
