Upon Request from Saman Insurance Company:

A research project entitled "Comparative Study of Developing Life Settlement Market and its Requirements" was undertaken by IRC upon an official request from Saman Insurance Co. and its results were presented in a professional forum with the participation of the directors, deputies, and experts from both parties at IRC.

Aimed at exploring the experiences of pioneering countries in developing life settlement market, the research attempts to formulate practical strategies for trading life policies in order to increase life insurance penetration rate in Iran. The project is collaboratively done by Dr. Ismail Safarzadeh, Faculty Member at Al-Zahra University, Dr. Nasrin Hozzarmoghadam, Research Associate of IRC, Dr. Khadijeh Mozaffari, Faculty Member at Al-Zahra University. The research findings were presented in a forum with the participation of all parties' delegates, according to Public Relations Office, IRC.

The research project reviews the characteristics of the secondary market participants, conceptual framework of such markets, the procedures of trading life policies, the relevant jurisdiction and legal issues and challenges, supervisory dimensions, technical aspects and pricing methods in countries holding such markets.
