Hosted by IRC, Abbas Zaidi met with Dr. Asgari and some of the directors of IRC. Being a Shariah Scholar at Bank AL Habib Limited, Mr. Abbas Zaidi was informed about IRC’s major activities in the realms of training and research.

Dr. Asgari, CEO of IRC, asked Al-Sadiq (a.s) Institute of Islamic Banking, Finance & Takaful to jointly conduct courses, conferences, webinars, and workshops, to publish papers and books, and to carry out joint studies on relevant mutual subjects of interest.

He also asked his counterpart to participate in the upcoming event of ICID 2023 to be held in December 3-4, 2023 at Tehran, Iran.

Both parties agreed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding in near future in order to further their collaborations.

It must be noted that Al-Sadiq (a.s) Institute of Islamic Banking, Finance & Takaful is a Non-Profit organization established in 2007 to create awareness among masses (especially the youth) and professional bankers about the parallel Islamic Financial system, which is free from RIBA through training, research and certified courses.

It is noteworthy that Syed Mazhar Abbas Zaidi is serving as Member, Executive Committee at Al-Sadiq Institute of Islamic Banking, Finance and Takaful and Shariah Board, Member at Markaz-u-Istifta Al-Imamia Pakistan and Huqooqe Shariah wa Markaze Ifta (Zahra s.a Academy). He is also Certified Shariah Advisor and Auditor (CSAA) and Certified Islamic Professional Accountant (CIPA) from AAOIFI, Bahrain. He is also associated with different institutes and universities as faculty while he also delivers lectures on national and international forums.
