One Research Project and the Research Priorities for 1403 (2024-2025) Approved
In the last meeting of the Research Council of Insurance Research Center (IRC) in previous solar calendar year, 1402, that was held on March 16, 2024, the members of Council, approved one research proposal and the Research Priorities for 1403 (2024-2025).

According to PRIAO-IRC, the meeting was initially commenced with the reviews that the members of the Research Council of IRC gave about the research proposal titled “Illustrating the Educational, Developmental, and Empowerment Model for the Takaful Industry Personnel: A Comparative Study”. Prepared by Dr. Said Sehhat, Faculty Member of Allameh Tabataba'i University, the proposal was approved on the condition that the author amended his research proposal based on the comments given by the members of the Research Council.

The research project is anticipated to be carried out in nine-month period using a hybrid methodology (quantitative-qualitative). The proposed study is aimed to delve into the status quo of the training and empowerment of the personnel, to explore the various educational and personnel empowerment aspects, to examine the educational and personnel empowerment methods, and to identify the barriers for training and empowering the personnel. The most significant outcome of the research is expected to be the categorization of educational and empowerment priorities of the takaful industry and the development of the need analysis of training and empowering personnel.

In the second half of the meeting, 231 research priorities suggested by various entities within the industry including insurers, Iran Insurers Syndicate, Research Departments, Central Insurance of I. R. Iran, and members of the Research Council, were examined by the participants. Finally, the concluding list of the research themes prioritized for the year 1403 (2024-2025) expected to be considered in future studies were approved. The prioritized research themes mostly fell into the following categories takaful, redesign of the products, technology, finance and economics, law, risk assessment and management, perils, marketing and public relations, and reinsurance.
