Main Theme and Subthemes of the ICID 2024 Announced
The main theme of the 31st National and 12th International Conference on Insurance and Development (ICID 2024) scheduled to be held on December 3, 2024, was announced.

On last Saturday, October 5, 2024, during the second meeting of the ICID Policy Council, the theme “Public Satisfaction and Trust in Insurance Industry” was chosen as the major subject of the International Conference on Insurance and Development. In this meeting the newly-elected President of Central Insurance of I.R. Iran (CII), Dr. Parviz Khoshkalam Khosroshahi, and other members of the Council participated.

The other subthemes of the conference are as follows:

  1. Global Experience: Successful Mechanisms in Establishing Trust in Insurance Industry;
  2. The Role of the Regulatory Body in Increasing Trust in Insurance Industry and the Public Satisfaction;
  3. Smart Regulation Model and Its Impact on the Insurance Customer Trust;
  4. Fostering the Protection Mechanisms for the Policyholders’ and Other Insurance Stakeholders’ Rights in the Case of an Insurer Insolvency;
  5. The Necessity of the Risk Management in Improving Customer Satisfaction and Trust;
  6. How Rating of the Insurance Institutions Contributes to Public Satisfaction and Trust toward the Insurance Industry;
  7. Reinsuring Policies and Its Impact on the Fulfillment of the Insurers’ Qualitative Commitments and Increasing Claimants’ Satisfaction and Public Trust;
  8. The Effect of Fair and Transparent Pricing on Customer Trust;
  9. The Significance of the Health and Auto Insurances in Improving Customers Satisfaction, Given Their Large Share of the Written Premium of the Industry;
  10. How Education and Raising Awareness Contributes to Fostering Trust in Insurance and Increasing Satisfaction;
  11. The Role of the Independent Insurance Industry Evaluation, Loss Adjustment, Arbitration, and Decision-Making Institutions in Bringing Peace of Mind for the Policyholders and Public Trust;
  12. The Impact of Advertisement and Marketing on Developing Trust toward the Insurance Industry;
  13. Human Interaction and Its Significance in Increasing Customer Satisfaction;
  14. The Role of the Social Media in Building Trust in the Insurance Industry;

  17. The Importance of the Primary Insurtechs in Elevating Satisfaction and Trust of the Stakeholders of the Insurance Ecosystem;

It must be noted that International Conference on Insurance and Development has been conducted for the last 30 years on the occasion of the Insurance Day in Iran. It gathers approximately 2 thousands people from the insurance industry including high ranking officials of the regulatory bodies and CEO’s of the insurance companies.

This year as before, the general agenda of the conference includes the following programs: “Pre-event Workshops”, “Professional Panels”, “Post-event Workshops”, “Hall of Fame of the Insurance Industry”, “The Year Book of the Insurance Industry”, “Top Employee and Manager of the Insurance Industry”, “Top Innovative Idea of the Insurance Industry”, “Top Master’s and Doctoral Dissertation”, “Top Researcher of the Insurance Industry”, and “Top Papers”.

Insurance Research Center cordially invites all supervisors, managers, insurers, reinsurers, professors, students and the interested from across the industry and the academia to participate in this one-day annual event in order to collectively deal with many shared issues in the current ever-changing market.
