Recreating Trust Through Smarter Supervision
ICID 2025, 2 December at Milad Tower, Tehran
As digital transformation accelerates and global risks grow more complex, insurance supervisors face unprecedented pressures to modernize their regulatory approaches. In response, the Insurance Research Center (IRC) and the Central Insurance of the Islamic Republic of Iran (CII) will convene the 32nd National and 13th International Conference on Insurance and Development (ICID 2025) on 2 December 2025 in Tehran. Under the theme “Reimagining Supervision in Insurance: An Innovative Path toward Effective Regulation,” the conference will examine how emerging technologies, new risk dynamics, and evolving governance standards are reshaping the future of insurance oversight.
The 32nd National and 13th International Conference on Insurance and Development (ICID 2025) will be held on Tuesday, 2 December 2025 (11 Azar 1404) at the Milad Tower Conference Center under the conference motto “Rethinking Supervision; Recreating Trust.” This major scientific gathering will host senior insurance executives, industry experts, researchers, economic stakeholders, and members of the media. The program includes a parallel exhibition as well as ceremonies recognizing inductees into the Hall of Fame of the Insurance Industry and honoring top performers across the sector.
According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Office of the Insurance Research Center, this year’s conference is structured around the theme “Reimagining Supervision in Insurance: An Innovative Path toward Effective Regulation.” Closely aligned with technological disruption, regulatory requirements, and forward-looking governance, this theme establishes the conceptual foundation for the conference’s four principal axes.
Organized by the IRC and supported by the CII, ICID 2025 is designed to provide an intellectual and policy-oriented forum for substantive dialogue among policymakers, insurance companies, academic institutions, and regulatory professionals.
According to the conference secretariat, in addition to synthesizing the findings of the specialized and scientific panels, a parallel exhibition will be held to present innovative industry achievements, technological products, and the educational and research capacities of institutions active in the insurance domain.
A dedicated segment of the event will also feature recognition of new inductees into the Hall of Fame of the Insurance Industry along with the announcement of the Insurance Industry’s Top Performers in various categories—an initiative aimed at strengthening professional motivation, highlighting exemplary models, and supporting the development of human capital within the national insurance sector.
